Ginger Fox was a proudly South African coffee brand launched by Sias du Plessis, a local radio and TV personality affectionately known as “The Ginger”. The brand needed to capture his signature energy—bold, witty and slightly cheeky—while still appealing to serious coffee lovers.
I designed the original identity from the ground up:
A striking fox icon to reflect the brand name
Three logo iterations to explore different personality directions—one modern and clean, one a blend of modern and traditional and the other bolder and a little more playful with hand lettering.
A custom illustrated pattern of foxes, moka pots, coffee cups and beans to use across merchandise, packaging, and social content
Fully branded coffee bags including front and back design, layout, and messaging
A launch website with integrated online ordering and storytelling copy
Social media branding for Instagram and Facebook
Ginger Fox was active until 2021, when it closed so its founder could pursue other creative projects. Although short-lived, the brand had a strong following and a distinct presence—thanks to a visual identity that truly embodied the personality behind it.
